5 Easy Ways To Make Money From Home

If you're like me, you've probably searched quite a bit to find ways to make money from home. After losing my job, I found it very difficult to get another one. I quickly learned that I wasn't going to find one in my area that paid me what I was getting paid PLUS all the benefits I had. I just wanted one that would pay me enough to keep food on the table and our lights on!

During my long hours of submitting my resume's to online job banks and browsing company websites to see if they had any job openings, I kept coming across a few stories from Newsweek, USA Today and others about how some people were making money from home. Not just a few bucks, but several of these people were making more money that I used to and all it seemed they did was sit at home and diddle dallying on the Computer! What's wrong with this picture!

Thankfully that was back in 2001. Now days, I make a comfortable living off the Internet. Over these last 8 years, I've tried a lot of online business opportunities and other ways to make money from home. Some worked, some didn't. Some were nothing more than scams while some involved more risk than penny stocks!

So here is the top 5 ways to make money from home that I've used in the past or still use today.

One way I've used to make money at home and still do today is Freelance Writing. I went at this at home business both ways. As a true Freelancer going out there and marketing myself. I have to tell you, it's a damn hard job to visit umpteen numbers of sites and posting sample articles and resumes. I made good money at it but I spent so many hours doing it, it felt like another job.

Then I started using Freelance Writing Jobs sites where people and companies that were looking for content would come and post their jobs and what they were willing to pay. I would log into my account, see what jobs were available and decide whether or not I wanted to take them. Payments are made to my PayPal account quickly and I'm a much happier person!

My first endeavor to make money from home was ebay. Even though I've slacked back on my ebay business, I still make a pretty good junk of change from them. Boy has things changed over the last 8 years! Still, ebay has been very good for me. Gone though are the days of driving around to Garage sales and auctions trying to find a product or two to run back home and sell on ebay. Now days I use dropshippers and wholesalers who will ship my auction products right from their warehouses. This has nearly automated my ebay business. I can't tell you how much more money I make now that I use this system than back in the day when I drove all over the place trying to find bargains on goods.

I tried making money with survey sites as well. I found most promised way more than they produced. Some were downright scams. Luckily, these days it looks like many have gone the way of the Dinosaur. The way I found that many paid survey sites pay out is not usually in lump sums of cash, but rather merchandise and products. Which can be good if you already use those products. You won't get filthy rich with online paid surveys, but there are a lot of people working from home making enough to help ends meet. And that's all some of us need, just a short term money making gig to help us get by until things get better.

I tried the whole affiliate marketing thing. I had some success at it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I made several sites and advertised them with Google Adwords to get traffic fast. I spent a lot of money at first because I thought I knew how to do it. I also lost a whole lot of money fast in the beginning. Then I went for a while just trying to get my websites ranked higher so that I could rely on search traffic. Since I'm no SEO guru or anything, I found that to be very difficult as well and went back to promoting affiliate programs with pay per click advertising. I stayed with this for a while but I barely broke even until I broke down and bought some helpfult ebooks on the subject. Even when I started making big sums of money, the work load and the requirement that you must constantly tweak your ad campaigns were way more work than what I wanted. I sold my sites for peanuts and cut and run.

One of the easiest ways I made money online was with a Program called Project Payday. This is another program where you won't get rick quick, but maybe you'll make enough to keep the Wolf away from your door. I found using Project Payday quite easy and often made around $75 to $150 a day. This would take me around 4 to 6 hours on an average day. Some days I made a little more, some a little less but overall, I can say that I was pleased at the results of my efforts.

If you should find yourself in the same boat as I was; broke, out of a job and needing to make extra money, I would suggest any of the techniques above to make some extra money while you worked to get back on your feet.

Luckily, now days I don't have to worry about such things. I have my system in place and work my system. It takes me a few hours a day and I have the rest of the day to do other things...like wash clothes, dishes and kids, run to the store or take kids to the Doctors. What? Did you think I was going to say "Sit by the Pool and Drink Bloody Mary's?" LOL No such luck...yet. Maybe, but if that day never comes at least I'll be happy with the way I currently make money from home. You need to get out and find your niche on the Internet so you too can slow down a little. It's amazing what life's little pleasures you'll see when you do.

Which Online Business Opportunity Is Right For You?

With the economy the way it is these days, many people are turning to the Internet in hopes of finding something to make some extra money at. Many want to start an online business from home while others are looking for an online business opportunity to work part time.

The good news is that there are many business opportunities on the Internet waiting for the right people to start. These business opportunities could be worked entirely online while other could be started online and worked offline.

But which one is right for you? Not everyone is cut out to sit in front of a Computer all day long. Perhaps you just want to start a Lawn Service or make crafts in your Woodworking shop. The Internet is a great way to advertise offline businesses like these. It's also an excellent place to find resources that will help you get such endeavors off the ground.

I think it's safe to say that many people are looking for an online business opportunity that they can work from home, in their spare time, that is easy and can be done on the computer. At least that has been my experience talking with hundreds of would-be entrepreneurs.

Again, there are many, many opportunities for a person to start online. Here is a rundown of just a few.

Online Paid Surveys. This industry has gotten a bad rap in recent years due to all the fly-by-night companies and individuals out there taking advantage of people. Thankfully, the image is getting better as these crooked companies and people are being outed and legitimate online paid survey companies are taking their place.

The way online paid surveys works is that you sign up to fill out surveys from major companies. In return for your opinion, they reward you with cash, products or even travel. While you won't get rich from being paid to take online surveys, you're likely earn enough to help make ends meet. Furthermore, many people who do this on a full time basis probably get more products like laptops, digital cameras and vacations than they do hard cash. These are products you can turn around and sell for cash if you'd like.

Online Auctions. Online auctions sites like Ebay has transformed hordes of stay at home Moms and other people into unlikely business people. The opportunity that ebay affords people to make money online is nearly endless. There are so many ways to make money with Ebay it isn't funny.

For someone looking to get started with using ebay as an online business, I would caution you before jumping in head first. Sure, you can make money visiting Garage sales and Estate Auctions to find stuff to resell on ebay. But to make some serious online income, you need to find a system where you can get products shipped directly from the warehouse or manufacturer. These are called wholesalers and dropshippers and you need to find of list of these. This is how many of the Power Sellers on ebay make six figures or more selling on Ebay.

Freelance Writing Jobs. More and more people are finding it profitable to start as a Freelance Writer. You don't need any formal education in English. If you can write the way you speak, there is probably an opportunity for you to earn money online writing.

Some people will simply start visiting online forums to advertise their services while others may advertise in places such as Craigslist or Facebook.

Those who make a lot of money doing this are usually part of a membership site where individuals and companies post jobs. The way this works is that you log into you account on one of these sites and then check to see if any jobs have been posted. If so, you decide if you want to take one or not. If you decide you want to accept the job, the requirements will be outlined and once the work is completed, the funds are placed in your account.

These are just a few ways people are starting their own online businesses. I'll be covering other other ways people make money online with an online business opportunity. You just need to be sure and check any opportunity out before spending time or money on it.

Tips For Starting A Work From Home Online Business

Working from home and starting a home based business will take some time and effort on your part. It may be that you'll have to try several opportunities until you hit on the right one for you. Not everyone will have success their first time out. Below I've outlined some tips to help you think about your online business and things you'll need to think about before getting started.

EBay is a major source of income for many people in the United States and it is a great way for you to get started when selling online. The easiest way to get started is to look around the house and find things that you do not need and try and sell those online. What you want to do when looking at creating an online business opportunity with eBay is to figure out how you can sell each item for the most amount of money that you possibly can. To do this requires creativity and teaching yourself to write good sales copy. After you have sold several of your products through eBay that were sitting under house, start looking for items that you could sell on a regular basis. By ordering their drop shipping directory, you will have a list of wholesalers who are able and willing to ship products to you or to your customers so that you do not have to worry about keeping inventory. This will allow you to work on developing your sales skills as far as writing your sales copy in dealing with the customers. You will not have to have a great deal of money invested in inventory. To better learn what the particular areas of eBay are very "hot" and easy to sell in, take a look at this website on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html. This website actually lists what some of the hottest products are so this can give you an idea what you should sell on eBay to make money.

Another good way at creating an online turnkey business opportunity could be working with someone who develops and maintains the website while you provide financial backing. This is an arrangement that you could work out with someone else so they became equal partners. This would allow you to make money without having to use any of your time or other resources because you have someone else doing that for you.

The first thing they can do in creating online business marketing is to make sure that your website is properly created. This article isn't long enough to go into everything that you need for your website but you should make sure that your site is properly indexed by all of the major search engines so that you're getting the maximum amount of natural search engine traffic you can. If you need more information about this, look in your library for books on search engine optimization. This can help you redesign some pages on your website to make sure that you are getting maximum exposure. If you want to get more people to your website, you may also want to look into Adwords. Where this can benefit you is that you can bid on certain keywords so when people search on these keywords, your ads will come up. You will paya certain amount per click that you receive from your ads being displayed. This is very good for you because you can target the audience that you want to bring to your website. By bidding on this, you are able to control your marketing costs and still receive leads.

When you are looking at creating online business cards, there are many different websites that you can use. Within this article, we looked at just three of the many different options that you have out there. Business cards are a very straightforward thing to do so you should be all to find many different companies other than me to list here that you would like to work with. The thing that seemed to be very nice above the first website is that it was set up very simply and had a very simple interface so that anyone who could be confused would not be because of the simplicity was given of the website.
